Last month’s post focused on some of the energetic aspects that three specific whale species—blue whales, gray whales and humpback whales—play in the web of life, each contributing its own kind of magic.
The conversation on whale energy continues this month with questions posed by interspecies communicator, mentor, and nature guide Neave Karger of HeartSong Communication and freediver and whale whisperer Reverend John Halas. Each is an explorer of higher dimensions, energy, and spirituality. Individually and combined, Neave and John have decades of experience in using their gifts and skills to serve and support others—humans and animals alike. In 2026, they pooled their talents to lead a small-group ceremonial retreat with whales in a protected lagoon of Baja California, Mexico. For five days, the group aligned with retreat intention to cultivate a greater connection and a new perspective on communication and connection with the web of life, which included self, whales, and any animals they met. This approach was exceptionally successful, as the whales engaged with Neave and John’s group for a week of gentle contact and intuitive interactions. I couldn’t think of anyone more qualified than Neave and John to ask questions of the Akashic Records about whale energy.
Akashic Records on the energy of whales, part 2 of 2
Can whales sense the chaotic times humanity is going through? Do the waters feel different when there’s energetic chaos on the land?
Yes, whales have always sensed the energetic vibrations of what’s happening on land, especially when it comes to large-scale and chaotic disruptions, like war. When these types of events take place, the waters feel very different to the whales. The waves of energy feel choppier, sharper. Such rampant energetic disorder can affect the balances within the ocean; when energy is affected, so is physical life. Whales are masters of energy, and they are working mightily to smooth the messy energetic waves that are being transmitted from land, which are now flowing to and through their waters from the land.
Many human lightworkers are calling on help from different dimensions to support a return of balance on Earth. Can whales sense the light grid (an energetic web of light) that humans are tending?
Yes, they can. Whales are doing their part to calm the energetic choppiness in the water, just as many humans are doing their part on land to call in light, for wholeness and healing. As masters of energy fields and vibrations, whales can sense unbalanced energies flowing through their waters, and they can just as easily perceive the healing vibrations being called in to counter that imbalance. As humans consciously tend to the light grid, whales can use this extra light to enhance what they’re already doing to smooth the waters. It’s a little like an energetic vitamin pill. Whales sense this extra light and use it to boost their energetic efforts to calm the chaotic energy flowing through the seas.
Indigenous leaders of the Pacific Islands have signed a treaty recognizing whales as legal persons giving them rights, such as freedom of movement, the right to a healthy environment, and the right to thrive alongside humanity. Do whales sense this?
Yes, they perceive the ripples of this agreement. Whales sense the intention to rebalance the equality between whales and humans. One of the significant energies that whales can sense is an intentional restoration of the connection and respect people have held for whales, which was much more prevalent long ago. Whales also sense there’s an agreement that humans want to tend to the whales’ environment, even though whales are water-based and humans are land-based. Comparable declarations could be signed in other areas of the world, but that doesn’t appear likely until far in the future.
Note: The New York Times has an excellent synopsis about the treaty, formally known as Declaration for the Ocean. An article on the Atmos website summarizes how the treaty originators wove together ancient knowledge and scientific data as the foundation for the declaration.
Occasionally, there’s a whale that really wants to engage in play. Is there anything we can do to encourage that playful engagement?
Whether you’re standing on the shore, sitting in a watercraft, or diving nearby, approaching any whale interaction with respect creates a coherent field that whales can easily sense. One way to show respect is to energetically acknowledge that they are unique individuals, each of whom is as varied and different as individual people are.
Another way of demonstrating respect is to show honor for their place in the web of life. The ceremonial retreat led by Neave and John had a clear purpose of connecting with nature, animals, and whales to cultivate a new perspective on communicating with the web of life. The whales in the vicinity felt the resonance of this group, which was different from the vibrations coming from other groups in the area. There was almost a reverence to this group’s intention. The whales found this energy refreshing. This resonance stimulated the whales’ curiosity, and they wanted to get closer to explore it.
As a land being, is it aligned to call to whales? What is the appropriate way to do this?
Yes, as a land being, you can call to them. Remember, whales are masters of frequency and energy. If you want to call to them, simply be in your core—that means to feel who you are in your deepest self—and broadcast your frequency to the whales from your body. It’s not a thinking process. It’s a feeling process. Another way of describing this: To call to whales, tune into the frequency of your inner waters—your essence—and radiate that to them. You can stand in the desert, hundreds of miles away from any shore, and connect and call to the whales.
What do whales want humans to understand about them?
They want humans to know that in their essence whales are not very different from people. Of course, they are physically distinct: Their bodies are much bigger than human bodies, with different skin and fins instead of legs; they swim through water rather than walk on land; and their vocalizations sound foreign to human ears. But they are mammals, have lungs and need air to breathe, are warm-blooded, and live in highly structured social groups and within webs of family connections.
Whales reiterate that at the deepest level of being, humans and whales are connected, not separated. The sense that whales are disconnected from humans arose from the human mind because of the two different environments: land and water. Whales deeply want humans to know they are closer to the human experience than most people realize, and any sense of them being foreign is only a distinction that human minds have created.
Note: The New York Times has a fascinating and inspiring article detailing two published scientific studies analyzing the behavior of a pod of sperm whales that aided the delivery of a female in its pod as it gave birth.
Do whales have a message for humanity?
The message is blunt: clean up your vibrations, meaning, people can relearn that all parts of the web of life are connected to and directly impact humans. Everything is energy, vibration, resonance. Everything affects everything else. Humans must learn to stop thinking that because something appears different, distinct, and nonhuman, that it doesn’t impact them. At the deepest level, everything is interconnected within the web of life.
